Shadows and Light
Shadows and Light are equally important in photography. An object’s detailed shadow can sometimes show more detail than the object itself. For example, this picture I made of a conjoined dog shows the details in the shadow of the dog.

The photo started out as a picture of my photo teacher’s dog named Harley. From there I got a detailed shot of Harley’s shadow and selected it in photoshop, copied the photo, reflected the image and moved them together to create the conjoined dog. The sunlight goes past the dog to show the detailed shadow. The shadow shows the details of Harley’s nose and mouth that aren’t seen on the original photo of Harley. That shows that shadows can sometimes show more than the original image, and shadows can’t exist without light.
